Book Review: “It’s Not Okay”

Book: “It’s Not Okay”

Author: Andi Dorfman

This book is the ultimate girl’s guide to getting over a break-up.  Grab a glass (or just the whole bottle) of cab sav and cozy up with this little novel, you are in for a treat!  I started watching the Bachelor/Bachelorette starting with Kaitlyn Bristowe and Ben Higgins so I never did Andi Dorfman’s season, though after reading this, I need to!  She discusses her journey through the show, what made her decide to audition for the bachelor, dumping Juan Pablo after making it to the final three on the Bachelor, becoming the Bachelorette, and the final two Nick Viall and Josh Murray.  She then discusses her relationship after the final rose with Josh Murray.  She explains how the relationship became toxic and he wasn’t the man she had fallen in love with.  The tale follows her anger, depression, and weight gain and then takes a hopeful turn on to getting her life back on track, taking back control of her life, and moving away from her home town where the two lived to New York City.

There is a lot of rumor and controversy over the validity of the book; but regardless of what really went on between the two, her point of view on the breakup is witty, a little crazy, totally relatable, and oh-so-incredible.  I’d definitely call this one a must-read!
